Dr Mustafa Barghouthi, the General Secretary of the Palestinian National Initiative, stated that Netanyahu and Gantz’s very same announcements regarding imposing Israeli control over the Jordan Valleys and enforce Israeli laws over the colonial settlements undoubtedly indicate four things:

  1. Netanyahu and Gantz are two faces of the same racist extreme right-wing Israeli camp.

  2. They are both partners in the so-called “ deal of the century”  conspiracy to annex most of the West Bank and terminate any possibility of establishing a Palestinian independent state.

  3. They are cohorts in their determination to consecrate the apartheid system over the Palestinians.

  4. The failed strategy of negotiating with the Israel, which has breached and shattered all signed agreements, most certainly indicates that we are not at a stage where a solution can be reached with the Israeli Government, but rather, at one of continued resistance and struggle to achieve our rights and freedom.

Dr Barghouthi further emphasized that the Palestinian side is obligated to respond in one unified voice against this conspiracy by immediately ending the perilous internal division and forming a Unified National leadership and adopt a united strategy that focuses on changing the balance of power, which will topple the occupation with its apartheid system.
