Palestine and China celebrate 30 of diplomatic relations

Yesterday Palestinian President Mahmoud Abbas and his Chinese colleague Xi Jinping have welcomed the fruitful last 30 years in the diplomatic relationship between the two countries.

In a message of congratulations to the Palestinian president, the Chinese president said that "the two countries had a long history of friendship.”
China was one of the first parties to support the cause of the Palestinians. It is also one of the first countries to establish diplomatic relations with the State of Palestine.
Over the past 30 years, the two countries' exchanges and cooperation in various fields have produced fruitful results, Jinping said.
China's plan of attack is to work with Palestine to advance the bilateral agreement. The interests of both countries are at stake, especially for Palestine.
Mahmoud Abbas said he was very proud of the traditional friendship between the two countries and welcomed the leading role played by China.
The Palestinian people would continue to advance this traditional friendship with China, Mr. Abbas said, further stating  he would always attach great importance to bilateral relations and their promotion in the interest of both peoples and for the realization of their common vision.
Also on Tuesday, Chinese Premier Li Keqiang and his Palestinian counterpart Rami Hamdallah exchanged messages of congratulations.
In his message, Keqiang said that since the establishment of diplomatic relations, China and Palestine have had close and high-level exchanges, strengthened their mutual political trust, expanded their cooperation in various fields and developed their relations.
The Chinese premier said he was "ready to work with his Palestinian counterpart to further advance the friendly cooperation between the two countries."
China would still support the just cause of the Palestinian people to restore their legitimate national rights.
Keqiang said that his country sincerely hoped that Palestinians could realize their dream of establishing an independent state as soon as possible.
Hamdallah gave Keqiang his deep gratitude for their support over the last 30 years, insisting that Palestine is open to the idea of ​​making this relationship stronger in the coming years.
