    With an Israeli military court’s conviction of Abdullah Abu Rahmah - village leader and "Palestinian Ghandhi" - the weekly protest of Bil’in marched masked in his portrait to sound grenades, tear gas and rubber-coated bullets. ST McNeil reporting and photographing from Bil’in.

    On the first Friday of Ramadan, mass prayer to the Al-Aqsa Mosque in Jerusalem from the West Bank went smoothly - at least for men over the age of 50, and women over the age of 45.   • "Alternative" Tours Of Hebron

    Saturday is the day that the Settlers’ Tour of the casbah of Hebron takes place. Visitors come from either the settlements within the old city itself or nearby Kiryat Arba. Since the end of April, Palestinian, Israeli and international activists have gathered on Saturday afternoons during the tour and protested next to the checkpoint gate separating Shuhada Street from the casbah.
