Two Palestinians killed during raid of Qalandia refugee camp

Two Palestinians were killed by Israeli forces early Monday morning in the Qalandia refugee camp between Ramallah and Jerusalem.


Laith Assad Munasra, 21, and Ahmad Abu al-Aish, 28 were killed during clashes which broke out after hundreds of Israeli forces entered the camp to destroy the home of an alleged Palestinian attacker, Muhammad Abu Shahin.


Abu Shahin is suspected of killing an Israeli settler on June 19.


Also on Monday morning, two Palestinian fishermen were shot and injured off the coast of Beit Lahiya in the Gaza Strip. The two men sustained moderate injuries.


According to Ma’an News Agency, since the ceasefire agreed on Aug. 26 2014, three Palestinian fishermen have been shot dead by Israeli forces.


The incidents come the day after a 2 year old Palestinian was run over by an Israeli military vehicle in Bir Nabala village near Jerusalem. The toddler, Adel Khader Shahin, sustained head injuries.


Also on Sunday, more than six Palestinians were shot and injured by Israeli forces during clashes in al-Bireh, north of Ramallah. Four were injured by rubber coated bullets, and two by live fire.


In Gaza Sunday, Ahmad Abed Rabbo, 30, was detained by Israeli forces as he attempted to reach the West Bank for medical treatment.
