A Palestinian man was shot and killed by Israeli forces Thursday morning after allegedly carrying out a knife attack near the Zaatara checkpoint in the northern West Bank.

Haaretz reported that the alleged attacker, identified as Samir Seresi, 51, exited a taxi and began threatening Israeli soldiers with a knife.

Earlier on Thursday morning, a 21 year old Palestinian was killed by Israeli forces during a raid in the town of Qattana.

Ma’an News Agency reported that clashes erupted between Israeli forces and Palestinians during the raid. Israeli forces fired live ammunition, rubber-coated bullets and tear gas into the crowd.

Yahya Yusri Taha was shot in the head, and left bleeding on the ground as Israeli forces prevented Palestinian ambulances from reaching him.

The two incidents come the day after Ibrahim Abdul-Halim Dawood, 16, died from injuries sustained after he was shot in the heart by Israeli forces two weeks ago near Ramallah.

Earlier on Wednesday, Muhammad Ismail Shubaki, 19, was killed by Israeli forces after allegedly stabbing an Israeli soldier near al-Fawwar refugee camp in the Hebron district.

More than 98 Palestinians and 19 Israelis have now been killed since the beginning of October.
