The funeral of Wissam Faraj in Shuafat.

A 20 year old Palestinian man was killed and six others injured during an Israeli raid in Shuafat refugee camp on Thursday evening.

Wissam Faraj was shot in the heart and killed by Israeli forces after clashes broke out between Israeli forces and the Shuafat refugee camp’s Palestinian residents. Six more Palestinians were shot with live fire and 35 with rubber-coated steel bullets.

Ma’an News Agency reports that Israeli forces raided the camp in order to access the home of Subhi Abu Khalifa, 19, who stabbed an Israeli man in Jerusalem earlier in the day.

Abu Khalifa stabbed an Orthodox Jewish man near the Jerusalem light rail network just after midday Thursday. He was detained by Israeli forces.

Nine Israeli police officers were injured during the raid.

Faraj’s funeral will take place in the town of Anata this evening.

The Palestinian Red Crescent Society has reported 213 injuries, including 22 with live ammunition during clashes in the West Bank and Jerusalem since this morning. Thursday saw the seventh consecutive day of clashes across Israel and the West Bank.
